Accelerator Ecosystem around Google / Rackspace OpenPOWER Platform

Want to find how Zaius / Barreleye G2 program development has progressed ? Interested in technologies implemented on the server ? Or what we are doing to help you consume it ? Want to see PCIe Gen4 / OpenCAPI at work ? Want to find out how Accelerator (GPU / FPGA) ecosystem is coming around this server ? Then this session is for you.

Zaius / Barreleye G2 / is an OpenPOWER, Open Compute server based on POWER9, being designed by Google and Rackspace. This session will start with a development update of the project and recap some new technologies implemented on the server. It will then go through some of the specific accelerators form-factors.

We will move to specific accelerators qualified on this server, and reflect on how they will help speed up your next-generation workloads: NVLink 2.0 : Nvidia's Volta GPU, OpenCAPI adapters:  Alpha Data (General Purpose acceleration), Nallatech, Molex (Storage), Mellanox (Networking).

Special emphasis will be laid on how OpenPOWER style hardware development done in the open (with design package up on OCP website) is helping the accelerator eco-system to come together quickly.
